Command Description
The RPS Copy to clipboard command provides the ability to copy TBC data objects from a project in one instance of TBC into the project running in a second instance of TBC using the RPS Paste command. When an object is selected that has dependent objects e.g. a surface model created from points and lines, the object and it’s dependent objects are copied to the clipboard using a virtual VCL file format.
Version Dependency
This command is 100% dependent on TBC v5.60 because it uses the Virtual VCL format capability that was introduced with this TBC version.
Command Interface Description
The RPS Copy to Clipboard command dialog looks as follows
Select objects to be copied:
Select the project objects that you wish to copy to the clipboard, Click the Options button to access the advanced selection options including Advanced Select, Select by Layer, Select by Elevation etc.
In TBC v5.60 the command is linked to the command shortcut CTRL SHIFT C. If you select data to be copied, using the shortcut will automatically copy the selected data to the clipboard.
If you copy e.g. Plan Set, Sheet Set or Sheet level data from one TBC project to another, the RPS Paste command will create missing Plan Sets, Sheet Sets and Sheets to hold the copied data into the exact same structure as the source project from which the data was copied.
OK
Copies the selected objects and their dependent objects to the Windows clipboard.
Cancel
Closes the command without further execution.
