When you are loading, dumping, borrowing or wasting materials on your projects, you will be using materials defined in this section of the software. The current Materials management is focused primarily on the Demolition (Demo), Earthmoving (Earthen) and Construction (Select) type materials, however that will expand in time to meet our users requirements.
The video below shows how to define materials in order to create your materials list for your projects. Materials are assigned when you Load or Dump material and are combined with the number of loads and the haul profiles (heaped / struck / underloaded) to compute the volume and or weight (tonnage) of the materials moved. RPS Tracker does not measure weight or volume, it simply uses the defined haulage profile to determine an approximate volume of material moved and then combines that with the material definition to convert the material into it’s weight in tons.
For time sensitive materials like Asphalt and Concrete, you can also but a time limit on the material that will be used to flag aging of the materials in the trucks during transportation from batch plant to placement location…
For more advanced / custom use cases, you can also define whether or not the material needs to be tested when stockpiled and where you intend its final destination to be for placement. These settings are used in advanced environmental projects where materials may be contaminated and require treatment or processing as an intermediary step after testing before being moved to their final destination location.
RPS Tracker provides advanced management controls in the PRO version of the software for tracking specific material movements and processing steps.
