Anyone else having this problem? When I run a takeoff report, the topsoil quantity is always wrong. I rarely have a client that has unusable topsoil, so they almost always need to know how much topsoil needs to be hauled in or out. TBC keeps saying that the site topsoil is unusable. I did some investigating and found that Stripping Topsoil was set to “Unusable”. I changed it to “Usable”, rebuilt the takeoff surfaces, and then ran the report. The table is still wrong. I went through and checked that all of the soil properties were set to “Usable”, or 100% usable for fill. It is still wrong.
The other table shows that the topsoil is usable, but this table is not doing the math right.
Which report is that the Takeoff Report - how are you defining your Topsoil Replacement - I assume as a Landscape Site Improvement where you enter the Topsoil separate to the material stack in the SI - correct?
I can check this again on my demo dataset in 5.70 - is that what you are running?
Last time I checked all of that it was working for me - let me look again today

This is in the custom report. The standard report shows the stripping and replacement, just doesn’t do the math for you. I enter the topsoil from the site improvements either 6" Topsoil Replacement or 6" Topsoil Replacement & Sod. They both show the same result. I went through the Material Properties of the stripping and made sure that the Soil Properties were set to “Usable”, rebuilt takeoff surfaces, and then ran the report. Still the same issue. I am running 5.70, but I think this started before the update.
